If your veterinarian has recommended SPECT-CT imaging, HealthyPaws is here to support you and your pet through the next step.
Why You May Look To Healthy Paws For Answers?
This is a trusted diagnostic tool to help find answers when other approaches haven’t provided clarity.
Healthy Paws Can Help You Find Answers For Your Pet
Your pet has ongoing pain or lameness with no clear cause
Previous scans or tests haven’t provided clear answers
The problem seems to involve multiple areas
Understanding where disease is active will help guide treatment
What Is SPECT-CT?
SPECT-CT is low dose CT and combines two types of imaging into one scan.
One part shows how active different areas of the body are.
The other part shows detailed anatomy.
Together, this can help your vet understand where the problem is coming from, even when other scans haven’t shown clear results.
What to Expect on the Day?
We understand this may feel overwhelming. Here’s what happens during your pet’s visit.
Arrival & Preparation
Your pet will be admitted and made comfortable. Sedation is used so they remain still and relaxed.
The Scan
The scan itself is painless and performed while your pet is resting comfortably.
After the Scan
Your pet recovers from sedation and can usually go home the same day.
